Ragi is a well known south Indian grain, it has a lot of health benefits. We can make many dishes from ragi, mostly I make puttu with ragi flour. Recently, I found ragi rawa in the Indian grocery store and bought it. Rawa uppuma are not my favorite, so I wanted to try something different and tried making this ragi balls, which turned out well, so I thought of sharing the recipe. If you want to try some thing different with ragi rawa, this will be a good option, very tasty and simple to make.

Ingredients
- Ragi rawa——————- 1 cup
- Hot water ——————- 2 cups
- Onion ————————- 1 (minced)
- Green chilies ————- 2(minced)
- Ginger ———————— 1/4 ” piece (minced)
- Cooking oil —————- 1 tsp
- Salt to taste

How To Make
- Dry roast the ragi rawa for 3 minutes and keep it aside
- Place a heavy bottom pan on medium heat and add oil
- Add the minced onion, green chilies and ginger
- Saute for 4 minutes
- Now add two cups of hot water and bring to boil
- Now add salt and the grated coconut
- Then add the roasted ragi rawa and stir continuously for about 6 minutes
- When it is fully cooked, it won’t be sticky
- Once it is ready, switch off the stove and wait for it to cool down little bit
- Then take small amounts of the cooked ragi rawa and shape them into balls and enjoy!
