Garlic Milk

Garlic milk is one of the healthy drinks, which helps to reduce cough, prevent bloating and lot more. This can be prepared in different ways. Here is the way I generally make and it is very tasty too.


  • Garlic cloves ———————— from 2 whole garlic
  • Milk ————————————– 1 cup
  • Water ———————————— 1 cup
  • Palm sugar crystals ———— 3 tsp

How To Make

  • Place a medium size sauce pan on the stove in medium heat
  • First pour the milk and water
  • Then add the garlic cloves and palm sugar crystals (panamkarkandu)
  • Boil them until the garlic cloves become soft
  • Switch off the stove and enjoy the garlic milk


  • If the garlic cloves are big, cut them into small pieces
  • If you don’t have palm sugar crystals, use regular sugar or mix honey at the end
  • Use a bigger pan to boil the milk. If you are boiling two cups of milk, take a four cup capacity pan
