This is one of the traditional dishes from Kerala, a southern state in India. It is absolutely delicious and colorful curry, goes well with rice. In our home, it is everyone’s favorite, so I make it often. This dish is made with a combination of ripe mango and yogurt. In India, they usually make it using a special kind of mango, which is sweet and little sour. But I like to make with sweet mangoes, because I make the curry little spicy, so the taste will be sweet and spicy. Here we don’t always get the fresh mangoes, so I often make it using frozen ripe mango slices. Once you taste, you will surely like it.
