I like fairy gardens, so I make small fairy gardens all around our garden in the summer, but during the long Minnesotan winters I like to keep some fairy garden things inside and arrange these fairy gardens on our indoor plant shelves. I have made a different post just about my indoor plant and you can click on the link to see it here: indoor plant.
My winter fairy gardens are not really fairy gardens, but they maintain the feeling of a fairy garden. One thing I like about this kind of fairy garden is that it is not secured in a place, so anytime I want to, I can change the figures and rearrange the set up so there is always something new to look at. These little things make me happy, and I often rearrange the small thing (fairies and fairy houses) when I’m free around the house or when I get new additions to my plant shelf.
To make these fairy gardens, you don’t have to spend lots of money, most of these things can be bought in the dollar section; I even got the mirrors and the fairy houses from the dollar store. Some of the figurines are gifts and I think this is a nice way to display them. It is great to be able to keep up this hobby even when its below freezing outside!
