Eastern Red Columbine Plant

The Eastern Red Columbine (also known as the Wild or Native Columbine) is one of the best pollinator-friendly plants you can grow in your garden. The flowers will bloom to look like beautiful little lanterns, and they will be much appreciated by all the hummingbirds and bees in the area. Every time I go over to look at this plant I always see a bumblebee or two flitting from bloom to bloom. From my window I can also often see hummingbirds taking their fill from these flowers. I would say this is one of the best perennial plants to keep in your garden and an absolute must-have if you are hoping to making your backyard a little bit more pollinator friendly.
