Today I am posting about preparing the puttu flour from the scratch. This way you will get a soft and very tasty puttu.
Ingredients
- White raw rice 1 cup
- Red raw rice 1/2 cup

How to make
- Soak the rices in water for 3 hours
- After soaking, use a strainer to remove the water
- Take a mixer and grind it into medium fine powder
- Use a sifter or sieve with medium porous mesh for shifting the flour, so that the flour is little coarse
- Take a wide pan and heat it in medium heat
- Add the flour and stir it occasionally, do this for 10 minutes
- Make sure that the flour is not sticking at the bottom
- Now the flour should be ready
- Wait for the flour to cool down before using
- It can be stored in the refrigerator for a week

Notes:
- You can use full white or red raw rice too
- I personally like to mix them
- If you use white raw rice alone, it will be in full white color
- If you use red raw rice alone, it will be too dark
- You should try all the 3 types, they will be in different color and different taste as well
