Mushroom Sandwich

This sandwich is a quick and easy fix meal when you’re craving for a hot meal. You can make the mushroom filling ahead of time, and simply assemble it all in a sandwich maker within minutes.

You will need

  • Bread ————- 4 slices
  • Ranch dressing
  • Mushroom filling

Ingredients to make mushroom filling

  • Mushroom ———————- 400 g(diced)
  • Onion ——————————- 1 big (diced)
  • Ginger&Garlic —————– 1 tsp (minced)
  • Cumin seeds ——————- 1/2 tsp
  • Chili powder ——————- 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ———— 1/8 tsp
  • Garam masala —————- 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste

How to make mushroom filling

  • Place a pan on medium heat stove and add oil
  • Add the cumin seeds
  • Add the diced onion and saute for 3 minutes
  • Add the diced mushroom and cook for 10 minutes
  • Add the spice powders and salt and mix them well
  • Cook for another 5 minutes or until all the liquid dry from mushroom
  • Now it should be ready to make the sandwich
  • The leftover filling can be kept in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days

Making the sandwich

  • Evenly spread the mushroom filling on a bread slice
  • Squeeze a little dressing with your choice of topping (I used ranch)
  • Place another bread slice on top of it and press little bit gently
  • Now keep it in the sandwich maker
  • The sandwich will be ready in 2 to 3 minutes
