I often make this millet kanji for dinner. It is very convenient to use instant pot to make this. This is a super easy and healthy recipe. We bought many kinds of millets from the Indian grocery store and use different one each time, so it won’t be boring. To make the kanji I use equal amount of a millet and green gram or black gram.

Ingredients
- Little millet ———— 1/2 cup
- Green gram ———— 1/2 cup
- Water ———————- 5 cups
- Grated coconut —— 1 handful
- Salt to taste (around a teaspoon)

How To Make
- Wash the millet and green gram
- Add the water and salt
- In the instant pot choose the pressure cook option and set the time for 7 minutes
- After the the cook time is over, it will take 20 to 30 minutes for releasing the pressure
- Once the pressure is fully released, open the instant pot
- Now add the grated coconut and mix it well, check the salt and if needed, add more and mix it well
- Now you can have the kanji with your favorite side dish
