This is a tasty side dish for rice, which can be made with simple ingredients.

Ingredients
- Grated cabbage – 2 cups
- Grated coconut – 1/4 cups
- Cooked green gram – 1 cup
- Onion – 1/2 (dice it into small pieces)
- Green chili – 1 (cut it into small pieces)
- Grated ginger – 1/4 tsp
- Chili powder – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/8 tsp
- Cooking oil – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste

For tempering
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Split urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves – 2

How to make
- Heat a pan on high heat
- Pour the oil and add the mustard seeds
- Once mustard seeds crackles, add the cumin seeds, urad dal and curry leaves

- Add the onion, ginger and green chili and saute for a minute
- Add the the cabbage and saute for 2 minutes

- Add the spices and salt and mix well
- Then add the cooked green gram and mix it
- Finally add the coconut and saute for one more minute
- Now it should be ready to serve
