Pullover Sweater

I recently made this sweater for my younger daughter. It really took a long time for me to finish, because I ran out of yarn and couldn’t find the same color for a while. But I learned couple of lessons from this project.

First thing, I made a little mistake in the beginning, but felt lazy to fix it, then in the later stage it started showing explicitly and the whole time I was thinking, whether I should rip it and start again or continue? It is a good lesson, so I will not do it again and if I see a mistake, surely I will try to fix it before continuing.

The second thing is, I didn’t plan well and get enough yarn at the beginning. Then towards the end, I realized that it won’t be enough to complete the sweater and I went to the store to buy, but this color was out of stock. Finally after six months of waiting, I found the yarn in another store and finished making it.

This is a basic pullover sweater pattern. I used the lion brand touch of alpaca yarn and the color is purple aster. It’s kind of everyday sweater, I like the color very much as it is a very pleasant color to me.

Once I finished, my daughter really liked it. The pattern is available for free download at Ravelry site and the pattern name is called “Brick”.
