Tapioca/ Yuca/Cassava Root With Coconut Seasoning

This is a simply satisfying dish and it is flavored with spices and garnished with grated coconut. One of my all time favorite to eat, most of the time I will have the frozen tapioca in our freezer, so whenever I want to eat, I can cook it fast and eat this way.


  • Cooked tapioca pieces ————— 1 small bowl
  • Grated coconut ————————— 1/4 cup
  • For tempering
    • Coconut oil —————————- 1 tbsp
    • Mustard seeds ———————– 1 tsp
    • Dry chilies —————————— 3
    • Curry leaves —————————- few springs

How To Make

  • Place a wide pan on medium heat and do the tempering using the ingredients listed
  • Now add the cooked tapioca pieces and mix it well (Refer the above link for cooking it)
  • Then add the grated coconut, stir it and turn off the heat
  • The tasty tapioca is ready to eat


  • Salt is added while cooking the tapioca, so no need to add more
