Curry leaves are very important ingredient in South Indian cooking. It is used for tempering or seasoning in all most all cooking. It is easily available everywhere in India and in our hometown, the curry leaf plant is grown in most of the backyards. In US, we get it from Indian grocery store and store it in the refrigerator. If it stored as described below, the curry leaves will stay fresh for longer time.
How To Store
- Take a glass bottle
- Add 1/2 tsp of fenugreek seeds
- Then put all the curry leaves into the bottle (please make sure that the leaves are not wet)
- Close it with lid and store it in the refrigerator
- It will stay fresh for at least two weeks
