Have you ever watched a bird collecting materials for her nest, if not, you should definitely watch this! While wandering in our yard, I saw this and captured the hard work of this bird. The bird was splitting the fiber from a thread wrapped around a trellis and holding them in it’s beak, but it was so fun to watch. I was taking the video and thinking to myself, “it is enough, little bird, you are going to drop some!”, but she was so smart and happily flew away with all her collections. This type of bird is called black capped chickadee and they are fairly common in Minnesota. The birds always visit our backyard to get grains from the bird feeder. It’s always fun to watch such activities of the birds in the garden.
